A prolonged magnetic storm is set to hit the Earth: how long will the storm last?
This was reported by the Space Weather Prediction Centre of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
A powerful magnetic storm is forecast to begin on Monday, 27 April. Geomagnetic activity could reach the red level.
According to experts’ forecasts, the magnetic storm will last at least three days – from 27 to 29 April. At certain times, its intensity may be high.
Such fluctuations may affect the well-being of weather-sensitive individuals. Increased geomagnetic activity may also affect the operation of communication systems.
On Monday, 27 April 2026, from 06:00 to 12:00, high levels are expected – 4–5 points.
From 12:00 to 18:00, a gradual decrease in intensity to 3 points is forecast.
After 18:00, the magnetosphere is expected to stabilise.
To minimise the impact of magnetic storms, experts advise getting enough sleep and sleeping for at least eight hours a day.
It is also worth maintaining your fluid balance and drinking clean water throughout the day.
Separately, they advise reviewing your daily diet: opt for light meals and avoid alcohol.
As reported by ThePublic, on 27 April 2026, according to the new church calendar, believers honour Saint Stephen, abbot of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and bishop of Volodymyr-Volynskyi. In popular tradition, this day is known as St Stephen’s Day and is associated with ancient prohibitions, omens and customs designed to ward off quarrels.
