Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov stated that Ukraine is carefully analyzing all partner proposals and clearly forming its own position. The statement was made after negotiations with a U.S. delegation led by the Secretary of the Army, Daniel Driscoll.

«No agreements beyond the boundaries of statehood, protection of people, or national interests can be made», — emphasized Rustem Umerov.

As reported by ThePublic.info, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine announced the continuation of consultations with the American delegation, which arrived in Kyiv led by U.S. Army Ground Forces Minister Daniel Driscoll. He informed about the results of the meeting on his official Facebook page.

According to Umerov, the Ukrainian side carefully analyzes all partner proposals and consistently formulates and voices its own position.

Key representatives of Ukraine's security and defense sector were involved in the discussion:
First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC Yevhen Ostryansky, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Gnatov, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleg Ivashchenko, Head of the NSDC Apparatus Anatoliy Bargylevich, and Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Vadym Skibitsky.

Umerov clarified that consultations began even earlier — at the level of the President of Ukraine. Among the main topics are finding ways to achieve a just peace, the sequence of subsequent steps, and realistic formats for further dialogue with partners.
