The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 58 Russian artillery systems and over 1,000 troops in the past 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,100 troops in the war against Ukraine. Total losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 1.32 million.

As of 23 April 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022, stand at approximately 1,322,550 personnel. Of these, 1,100 soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours, according to the General Staff.

The Russian army has also lost 11,888 tanks, including 3 over the past 24 hours. The total number of armoured fighting vehicles stands at 24,441, with a further 5 units destroyed in the last 24 hours.

Losses of artillery systems have risen to 40,574, with 58 units destroyed over the past 24 hours. 1,752 multiple launch rocket systems have been lost, including 3 over the past 24 hours.

1,351 air defence systems have been lost, with one added over the past 24 hours. The number of aircraft remains at 435, and helicopters at 350.

Losses of tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) stand at 253,430, of which 1,941 were lost over the past 24 hours. 4,549 cruise missiles have been recorded.

Russian forces have also lost 33 ships and boats, and 2 submarines. A total of 91,127 vehicles and tankers have been destroyed, including 202 over the past 24 hours. The number of specialised vehicles stands at 4,134, with 2 lost over the past 24 hours.
