The Armed Forces of Ukraine have cleared over a third of Pokrovsk from the occupiers - Syrskyi
Search and destruction of the enemy have been carried out on an area of approximately 11.5 square kilometers.

Ukrainian defenders have been actively destroying the occupiers in Pokrovsk over the past week. More than a third of the city has been cleared of the enemy. This was written by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Facebook.

Syrskyi noted that he conducted another working trip to the Pokrovsk direction. There was a meeting with the commanders of military management bodies, commanders of military units, and subdivisions.

According to the general, the tasks remain unchanged - to defend Ukrainian positions, detect and destroy the maximum number of personnel and equipment of the Russian occupiers, as well as cut off their logistics and effectively counter the enemy in the air.

"We are blocking attempts to storm cities with small infantry groups. To this end, as well as to restore lost positions, some of our units are conducting active actions. Over the past week, direct searches and destruction of the enemy have been carried out on an area of about 11.5 square kilometers in the city of Pokrovsk," he added.

It is worth noting that the total area of Pokrovsk is 29.7 square kilometers. Thus, 11.5 square kilometers is more than a third of the city’s territory.

Syrskyi confirmed that Russia, due to significant losses and effective resistance from Ukrainian soldiers, was forced to deploy its operational reserve in the area of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration.

"The aggressor is constantly trying to change attack directions here, using treacherous infiltration tactics, including disguising themselves as civilians or hiding behind them," he added.

Another issue discussed during the meeting was strengthening units and coordinated use of reserves. Particular attention was paid to ensuring the advancement of Ukrainian assault units. Syrskyi noted that work is ongoing to maintain existing logistics routes and create new ones.
