Thomas Sunday: history and significance
The feast is dedicated to the Apostle Thomas. According to tradition, he did not believe in the Resurrection of Jesus until he saw Him with his own eyes and touched His wounds. That is why this day serves as a reminder of the importance of faith and spiritual renewal.

In popular tradition, this day is known as Red Hill. In the past, restrictions on weddings were lifted from Antipascha onwards, so this period was considered ideal for matchmaking and weddings.
