Weather forecast for Ukraine on 12 July 2026

The National Bank is to change the design of the inscription ‘Two thousand hryvnias’ on the new banknote featuring Vasyl Stus, following criticism from designers. Printing of the banknote has not yet begun, so the changes will not affect the date it enters circulation, and there are no plans to withdraw the current 1,000-hryvnia notes.

The beaches at Karolino-Bugaz in the Odesa region have not been officially opened due to the risk of mines, but the resort is operating almost as usual for the summer. People are sunbathing and going for a swim; some hotels are fully booked for several weeks in advance, and accommodation prices have almost doubled.
