Arda Turan, head coach of Donetsk-based ‘Shakhtar’, could take charge of the Turkish national team.

According to a source, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has already approached the 39-year-old coach with an offer to become head coach of the national team.

It is reported that Turan has not yet given a definitive answer to this offer. The Federation regards him as one of the candidates capable of leading the national team and continuing its development.

It is worth recalling that Arda Turan has made a successful start to his coaching career in Ukraine. In his debut season at the helm of Shakhtar, the Turkish coach led the team to victory in the Ukrainian Premier League and to the semi-finals of the Conference League.
