Benjamin Netanyahu has requested a meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approached Ukraine with a request to arrange a telephone conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This was reported by an Israeli official to The Times of Israel. He noted that Benjamin Netanyahu’s office had approached the President of Ukraine with a request to arrange a telephone call.
The official did not specify exactly which issues they plan to discuss during the call.
Meanwhile, according to Ynet, the Israeli Prime Minister wishes to discuss cooperation with Ukraine in countering Iranian drones.
Ukraine’s Ambassador to Israel, Yevhen Korniychuk, confirmed that such a request had been made. He said the conversation had not yet taken place due to scheduling constraints on both sides.
He expressed hope that the telephone conversation could take place early next week.
