Child benefit in June 2026: who is eligible and how much is paid
In June 2026, the amount of some child benefits will depend on the minimum cost of living,
In Ukraine, in June 2026, social benefits for children will remain in place, including childbirth allowance, the ‘Baby Box’, ‘eYasla’, and payments for single parents, carers, large families and internally displaced children.

This is evidenced by the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026”, Law No. 4681-IX on support for families with children, Cabinet of Ministers Resolutions No. 1805 and No. 332, as well as clarifications from the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

In June 2026, Ukraine has in place childbirth allowances, the “Baby Box”, “eYasla”, support for single parents, guardians, large families and internally displaced children.

Most of these amounts are linked to the subsistence minimum. In 2026, this stands at 2,817 UAH for children under 6 and 3,512 UAH for children aged 6 to 18.

Some of these benefits can be applied for via Diya, the Pension Fund of Ukraine or offline – in accordance with the established procedure.

Subsistence minimum for children in 2026

In 2026, the subsistence minimum per person is 3,209 UAH.

For children under 6 years of age, it is 2,817 UAH.

For children aged 6 to 18 – 3,512 UAH.

It is these figures that determine the amount of certain child benefits, including support for single parents, guardians and carers, as well as the calculation of the ‘Baby Box’ allowance.

Childbirth allowance

From 1 January 2026, the childbirth allowance for the first and each subsequent child is 50,000 UAH.

The application must be submitted no later than 12 months after the child’s birth.

If two or more children are born or taken into care, the allowance is granted for each child.

Benefit until the child is one year old

In 2026, a monthly allowance is available for the care of a child until they reach one year of age.

The amount is 7,000 UAH per month.

If the child has a disability, a multiplier of 1.5 applies. In this case, the payment is 10,500 UAH per month.

“Baby Box”

Parents can receive the “Baby Package” in kind or opt for a cash payment.

The amount of the allowance is three times the minimum subsistence level for children under 6 years of age.

In 2026, this amounts to 8,451 UAH.

You can apply for the compensation no later than 12 months after the child’s birth.

The “eYasla” programme

The “eYasla” benefit is also available in 2026. It is intended for parents or legal guardians who return to work after their child turns one.

The payment amounts to 8,000 UAH per month.

For families raising a child with a disability, the benefit amounts to 12,000 UAH per month.

The benefit may be granted from the month following the child’s first birthday until the child reaches the age of three.

Support for single mothers and fathers

Support for single mothers or fathers depends on the family’s income.

The maximum amount is linked to the minimum subsistence level for a child of the relevant age.

In June 2026, this is:

for children under 6 years of age – up to 2,817 UAH;

for children aged 6 to 18 – up to 3,512 UAH.

The actual amount is determined on a case-by-case basis – as the difference between the minimum subsistence level for a child and the family’s average monthly income per person.

Child maintenance in 2026

The minimum guaranteed amount of child support is 50% of the subsistence minimum for a child of the relevant age.

In 2026, this is:

1,408.50 UAH – for children under 6 years of age;

1,756 UAH – for children aged 6 to 18.

The maximum amount of child support may be 10 times the subsistence minimum:

28,170 UAH – for children under 6 years of age;

35,120 UAH – for children aged 6 to 18.

Guardianship and custody

Guardians and carers may receive state assistance for children under their guardianship or care.

The amount of assistance depends on the child’s age and the minimum subsistence level.

An increased amount of assistance applies to children with disabilities.

If the child receives a pension, maintenance payments, a grant or other state assistance, the difference between the set amount of assistance and the sums actually received is paid.

Large families

For large families, there is a benefit for children being raised in such families.

This involves a monthly payment for the third and each subsequent child until they reach the age of six.

Assistance for IDP children

Living allowances are provided for children who are internally displaced persons.

The payment for children is 3,000 UAH per month.

For other persons, the benefit is 2,000 UAH.

Assistance may also be granted to a child born to an internally displaced person, provided that the relevant information has been entered into the Unified Information Database on IDPs.

Pregnancy and maternity benefits

The state also provides assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth.

This is available, in particular, to women who are not insured under the compulsory state social insurance scheme, provided they meet the programme’s requirements.

An application for the benefit can be submitted electronically or on paper in accordance with the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers.
