Whose money fills Ukraine's budget during the years of great war
According to data from the Ministry of Finance as of June 9, 2025, $48.6 billion has been received from the EU for the Ukrainian budget, $30.2 billion from the USA, within the G7 ERA initiative – $14.7 billion, $12.8 billion has been received from the IMF during this period, $8.5 billion from Japan, Canada provided more than the World Bank: $5.4 billion and $5.3 billion respectively, the United Kingdom – $3 billion, Germany – $1.7 billion. Other EU and G7 countries contributed to the budget financing to a lesser extent.
These funds were directed towards covering the state budget deficit, ensuring social expenses, and supporting critical infrastructure. Part of the aid was provided as grants, and part as concessional loans.
