Temporary residence in Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers is set to simplify the procedure for issuing temporary residence permits to foreign nationals who are serving in the armed forces or plan to join the Defence Forces. The government is currently finalising the procedures for processing their applications.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, temporary residence permits for foreigners will be issued for the entire duration of the contract and for a further six months after its completion.

Furthermore, as the Prime Minister writes, those wishing to sign a contract may now submit documents with expired validity. This applies to cases where a new passport can only be obtained in an aggressor country or a state that does not recognise Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

The government will also simplify the procedure for confirming residence for some foreigners serving in Ukraine.
