Dollar and euro exchange rates on 6 July
At the end of last week, the hryvnia strengthened slightly against the US dollar. The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate for the US dollar on Monday, 6 July, at 44.57 UAH to the dollar

This is reported by UNIAN

What exchange rate has the National Bank set?

According to the NBU, the official exchange rate as at 6 July is:

  • 1 US dollar — 44.57 UAH;
  • 1 euro — 51.02 UAH.

Consequently, the US dollar lost some ground against the hryvnia at the end of the week.

On the interbank foreign exchange market, trading closed at 44.65–44.68 UAH per US dollar and 51.12–51.14 UAH per euro.

What exchange rates are expected at banks and currency exchange bureaux

Financial analyst Oleksiy Kozyrev predicts that at most bank counters and currency exchange offices open at the weekend, the dollar will be sold at between 44.60 and 45.10 UAH, whilst buying it at 44.15–44.55 UAH.

The euro, he estimates, will be bought at 50.70–51.25 UAH, whilst the selling rate will be within the range of 51.30–51.80 UAH.

What will determine the prices

The expert notes that the cash foreign exchange market remains uneven. Rates may vary depending on the region, demand for currency and the pricing policies of specific exchange bureaux.

Most exchange bureaux are expected to operate with a spread of 20–30 kopecks for the dollar and 20–70 kopecks for the euro. In some cities, minor adjustments to exchange rates may occur throughout the day.
