A fire broke out as a result of a night-time drone attack on a railway station.

On the night of 28 February, Russian troops attacked one of the railway stations in the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones. As a result of the drone strike, an electric locomotive was damaged and the driver was injured. This was reported in a telegram by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery — Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, the enemy drone hit the locomotive directly. The train driver was injured, received the necessary medical assistance, and is currently in stable condition.

A fire broke out at the site after the strike. Emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

Kuleba noted that this is another attempt by Russia to disrupt civilian logistics. According to him, Russian troops are systematically shelling infrastructure that provides transport links, evacuation and supplies across the country.

At the same time, the minister stressed that despite the attack, train traffic remains stable and is running according to schedule. Rail service continues to function even under constant threat.
