Drones attacked the Ilsk Oil Refinery, oil depots in the Krasnodar Krai and the Rostov Oblast, and the seaport in Taganrog
On the night of 10 July, Ukrainian drones attacked the Krasnodar Krai and the Rostov Oblast. This was reported by monitoring Telegram channels.
According to available information, a fire broke out at the Ilsk Oil Refinery after drone debris fell on the site. Debris also fell onto the premises of a business and into the garden of a private house in the village of Siverska.
The Ilsky Oil Refinery, which is connected to Transneft’s pipeline system, is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia’s Southern Federal District. Reports indicate that the refinery had previously been targeted.
In the Rostov Region, according to Acting Governor Yuri Slyusar, the drone attack caused fires at two petroleum product storage facilities in Azov and at the seaport in Taganrog. According to preliminary reports, there were no fatalities or injuries.
In addition, in Taganrog, debris from the drones damaged the roof of an administrative building, where a fire also broke out. In the village of Kagalnik in the Azov district, an administrative building caught fire. Local authorities reported the evacuation of residents whose homes are located near the sites of the strikes.
Ukrainian Telegram channels also reported a fire at the port terminal of the limited liability company Kurgannefteprodukt in Taganrog, as well as an attack on one of the oil depots in Azov. According to the Telegram channel Exilenova+, the Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant – which specialises in the production of optoelectronic, radar and high-precision systems for military equipment, as well as electronic components for missiles – may also have been hit. There is no official confirmation of this information from the sources cited.
