Drones attacked the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery and oil pumping stations in the Vladimir region
On the night of 10 June, the Samara Region authorities declared a missile alert. Monitoring Telegram channels, citing eyewitness videos and photos, reported a fire at the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara. The facility is one of the largest oil refineries in the region and is part of PJSC ‘Rosneft’.
The Kuibyshev Oil Refinery has been attacked on several previous occasions. In January this year, the facility came under attack, and in August 2025, it temporarily suspended operations following a drone attack. In March 2024, drones damaged one of the plant’s production units, which also led to the production cycle being halted.
In addition to the Samara region, attacks were also recorded in the Vladimir region. It is currently known that two infrastructure facilities caught fire following a drone attack. According to open sources, the fires may have broken out at the Vtorovo and Lobkovo oil pumping stations. Both facilities belong to the company ‘Transneft – Upper Volga’ and facilitate the transport of oil and petroleum products towards Moscow, as well as to Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports and the north-western regions of Russia.
According to sources, this facility had already been attacked in May 2026 and September 2025.
Also, on the night of 10 June, a missile alert was declared in the Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk and Penza regions, as well as in Yamal. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that 12 drones had been shot down approaching the capital since the start of the day.
