The Chongar Bridge was rendered completely inoperable following a second strike on the night of 9 June. The Ukrainian military stated that traffic along this vital logistics route has been cut off for an extended period.

The Chongar Bridge was completely destroyed following a second strike on the night of 9 June. This was reported by soldiers from the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsyubailo of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Land Forces.

According to them, the second strike on the bridge was the result of joint efforts by the ‘Phalanx’ Multi-Domain Operations Centre, the 1st Separate Assault Regiment named after Dmytro Kotsyubailo, and the 475th Separate Assault Regiment CODE 9.2. The operation was carried out using Ukrainian FP-2 drones.

The military noted that during the first strike on 7 June, the road surface was damaged in one direction. Following the second strike, according to those involved in the operation, this logistics route has been rendered completely inoperable.

“With the first strike on 7 June, we damaged the road surface in one direction. Now this important logistics route has been completely put out of action. The result is that traffic has been blocked for a long time,” the statement reads.

The military also stated that they are monitoring movements and repair work at the site.

“We can see all movements and are in full control of the enemy’s repair work. We are ready to make long-range adjustments at any moment,” the soldiers noted.
