Russian attacks in various regions of Ukraine have resulted in deaths, injuries and the destruction of homes

During the night of 10 June and over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched attacks on a number of regions in Ukraine. The regions hardest hit were Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Sumy.

Odesa Region

Russian drones attacked Odesa overnight. Two high-rise residential buildings were damaged as a result of the strikes.

In the Primorsky district, a flat on the fifth floor of one of the buildings was completely gutted by fire. The fire was extinguished by the emergency services. At another address, in an 18-storey building, part of a drone fell onto the balcony of a flat on the 11th floor without detonating or catching fire. The external wall of the balcony, residents’ property, windows and the façade were damaged.

According to updated information, three people were affected. A 46-year-old woman was hospitalised. Two children, born in 2016 and 2017, suffered acute stress reactions. All received the necessary medical and psychological assistance.

Utility services and emergency response teams are working at the scene to deal with the aftermath of the attack. Residents of the damaged flats are being advised on how to claim compensation through municipal schemes and the state ‘e-Recovery’ programme.

Kharkiv region

In the morning, Russian forces launched a massive drone strike on Kharkiv. Twenty-six strikes were recorded, with the Kholodnohirskyi district being the main target.

The strikes caused fires. According to regional authorities, four women aged 35, 42, 68 and 81 were affected, suffering from acute stress reactions. Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported five casualties.

One of the strikes also hit a forest belt in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. No casualties or damage were reported there.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 817 strikes on 46 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Ten people were injured as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. There were also 73 reports of damage to homes, infrastructure and vehicles.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russian troops attacked the Nikopol and Synelnykivskyi districts of the region around 20 times using drones.

In the Nikopol district, the premises of a municipal enterprise and a lyceum were damaged. In the Petropavlivka community of the Synelnykivskyi district, an administrative building and a car were damaged.

According to regional authorities, there were no casualties.

Sumy region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 70 strikes on 37 settlements in 18 communities in the Sumy region.

Two people were killed as a result of the shelling.

Russian troops also struck a residential area. A fire broke out in a private house and a farm building. Due to the threat of a second strike, rescue workers temporarily suspended their operations, after which the fire was extinguished. According to the State Emergency Service, two people were injured.

Donetsk region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed three civilians in the Donetsk region. The fatalities were recorded in Druzhkivka and Kramatorsk.

A further seven people were injured.

Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has struck 39 settlements in the Kherson region using artillery and drones.

Thirteen people were injured as a result of the attacks.
