This is reported by The Ring, citing court documents.
According to the publication, in December 2024, Floyd Mayweather Jr. purchased an Audemars Piguet watch from the Gold and Beyond boutique in Las Vegas.
The purchase cost $200,000. The boxer paid by cheque, but the payment was later found to be invalid.
Following this, representatives of the jewellery boutique took the matter to court.

Mayweather is charged with fraud and theft.
This relates to the issuing or passing of a cheque with signs of fraud, as well as the theft of property worth over $100,000.
