The French developer Alta Ares is set to invest 10 million euros in expanding its operations in Ukraine, which represents one-fifth of the 50 million euros in investment the company recently secured.

This was announced by the company’s co-founder and CEO, Adrien Kanter, to Defender Media.

The funds will be used to scale up UAV production and triple the number of engineers at the local subsidiary by the end of 2026.

Currently, the company’s software solutions are already being integrated by around 10 Ukrainian manufacturers, and by the end of this year, Alta Ares plans to double the number of its partners in the market.

In addition to stepping up cooperation with local companies, notably through the creation of joint ventures with Fire Point, the developer is preparing to expand its operations in the EU.

Overall, the company continues to focus on improving guidance systems and developing its own interceptor drones to effectively counter aerial threats.

The investment raised will be a key factor in strengthening Alta Ares’ position in both the Ukrainian and international defence markets.
