Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have lost more than a thousand troops and several pieces of military equipment.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported new casualties among the Russian army in the war against Ukraine.

As of 1 April 2026, the total combat losses of Russian troops since 24 February 2022 amount to approximately 1,298,730 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, losses totalled 1,060 military personnel.

The Russian army has also lost 11,828 tanks, including 2 over the past 24 hours; 24,327 armoured fighting vehicles, including 3 over the past 24 hours; 39,169 artillery systems, including 59 over the past 24 hours; and 1,712 multiple launch rocket systems, including 3 over the past 24 hours.

In addition, losses amount to 1,338 air defence systems, 435 aircraft, 350 helicopters, 210,896 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, including 2,069 in the last 24 hours, as well as 4,491 cruise missiles.

Losses of 33 ships and boats, 2 submarines, 86,578 vehicles and tankers, of which 219 were lost in the past 24 hours, as well as 4,107 units of specialised equipment, of which 2 were lost in the past 24 hours, have also been recorded.
