Japan has transferred three autotransformers to Ukraine for its power grid
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the transferred autotransformers are intended to replace equipment damaged as a result of Russian attacks on Ukrenergo substations.
The assistance was provided as part of the Emergency Restoration and Reconstruction Project, launched in 2022 jointly by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The ministry noted that the equipment is critically needed to stabilise and maintain the Ukrainian power system.
