Investments in Ukrainian defence tech exceeded $100 million in 2025
In 2025, publicly announced investments in Ukrainian defence tech reached $105 million. This is stated in the Dealbook analytical review prepared by the UCDI Investor Club platform with the support of the Ukrainian Council of Armourers.
According to the study, from 2023 to 2025, investments grew from $1.1 million to over $105 million. In 2024, this figure was $28.7 million. Analysts note that about 30 per cent of deals remain private, so the real scale of the market is significantly larger.
The largest amounts of funding in 2025 were in the areas of unmanned systems and autonomy. These include unmanned maritime platforms, autonomous drones, UAVs, and ground-based robotic solutions. A separate sign of market maturity was the growth in the share of repeat and scaling rounds.
Average investment cheques are also increasing. At the pre-seed stage, the average deal size grew from $215,000 in 2023 to $718,000 in 2025. At the seed stage, defence technology startups attracted an average of $2.9 million, compared to $1.8 million a year earlier.
At the same time, in October 2025, the UCDI Investor Club officially launched, already bringing together 15 specialised investment funds. The platform aims to directly connect institutional investors with Ukrainian defence companies and accelerate capital raising in the industry.
