Прем'єр-міністр Ізраїлю Біньямін Нетаньягу заявив, що Іран двічі намагався ліквідувати президента США Дональда Трампа. Причому зараз ці спроби тривають.

He spoke about this in an interview with NewsMax.

During the conversation, Netanyahu suggested recalling what Iran was like before the war began.

“Look, if you recall what happened before the war, Iran was the main troublemaker in the Middle East and the world. It was the main sponsor of state terrorism across many continents, including the Western Hemisphere, alongside Venezuela and others, incidentally,” the Prime Minister emphasised.

He says that the Iranians have killed and maimed more Americans than any other force in recent decades. In particular, Iran tried to assassinate Trump.

"Thousands upon thousands have been killed and maimed in Afghanistan by Iranian IEDs. They have bombed your embassies. They have twice attempted to assassinate President Trump. They are still trying to kill him. And most importantly – they chant ‘Death to America’," he concluded.

Attempt to assassinate Trump: what is known

Recently, US President Donald Trump also publicly stated that Iran had tried to kill him several times, but all attempts had failed.

“I killed him (Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – Ed.) before he killed me. They (Iran – Ed.) tried twice. Well, I killed him first,” Trump said in a conversation with an ABC journalist.

Also, in the summer of 2025, The Washington Post published an article stating that Iranian agents had been plotting an assassination attempt on Trump during his election campaign. For this reason, the politician’s security detail was forced to switch to ‘martial law’ mode, and security was soon stepped up.
