Балістичний боєприпас, запущений з Ірану, увійшов у повітряний простір Туреччини та був нейтралізований силами ППО і ПРО НАТО. Частина уламків впала у провінції Газіантеп, загиблих і поранених немає.

This was reported by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence. The

ballistic missile, launched from Iran, was intercepted by NATO air and missile defence systems deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean. Before that, it entered Turkish airspace.

The ministry noted that some of the ammunition fragments fell in a desert area in the province of Gaziantep.

"Some of the fragments of the missile fell in a desert area in the province of Gaziantep. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the incident," the Ministry of Defence said.

The ministry stressed that Turkey attaches great importance to good neighbourly relations and regional stability.

At the same time, the ministry stressed that the country will respond decisively to any threats to its territory and airspace.

"We reiterate that all necessary measures will be taken decisively and without hesitation against any threats directed against the territory and airspace of our country," the ministry said.

The Ministry of Defence also added that compliance with Turkey's warnings on this issue is in the interests of all parties.
