Kamalia claimed she was blackmailed with nude photos following an argument with a friend
Kamaliya spoke about this in an interview with BLIK.ua. During the conversation, the artist also spoke about the start of her career, her contract with Philip Kirkorov, her relationship with Mohammad Zahur, volunteering during the war, and conflicts within the Ukrainian showbiz industry.
Ukrainian singer Kamaliya has claimed that her former friend Svitlana Golynska is allegedly threatening to publish nude photos of her.
According to the artist, the conflict between them arose after many years of friendship and collaboration. Kamaliya claims that Golynska is sending her messages which she regards as an attempt at blackmail.

Kamaliya stated that Golynska is allegedly threatening to publish nude photos of her if the singer speaks about her in an interview.
The singer claims that her former friend does not have such photos. At the same time, she noted that she could report such messages to the police.
The artist described the Ukrainian showbiz world as “thin ice”, where, in her words, one must constantly manoeuvre and be a fighter.
Why did Kamaliya and Svitlana Golynska fall out?
According to Kamaliya, she had been friends with Svitlana Golynska for about 20 years.
The artist explained that Golynska owns the company “Mediatech”, which provides technical support for the show business industry, specifically stage screens. According to Kamaliya, for 14 years they had been ordering screens from this company for the YUNA ceremony and her own concerts.
The singer claims that this year, for the anniversary YUNA, the screens were ordered from another company. After that, she says, her relationship with Golynska soured.
What else Kamaliya said about Golynska
Kamaliya stated that she had previously helped Golynska both professionally and personally.
According to the artist, she introduced her to her friends and contacts, and also helped her secure a part-time job at the Trade Union House in Kyiv.
In addition, Kamaliya said that her ex-husband, Mohammad Zahur, as a British citizen, had taken on guardianship of Golynska’s son when he went to study in London.
All these statements are Kamaliya’s version of events. Svitlana Golynska’s position is not presented in this article.
Why Kamaliya mentioned Kirkorov
In the interview, the singer also spoke about her collaboration with Philip Kirkorov.
According to Kamaliya, she terminated her contract with him in 2014 following Russia’s occupation of Crimea. The artist stated that she had a clear stance on Russia’s actions, although she was subsequently still offered projects from the Russian side.
Kamaliya added that after terminating the contract, she worked with European producers.
What the singer said about Zahoor
Kamaliya also recalled how she met Mohammad Zahur.
According to her, they met at a meeting where they discussed her participation in a concert for Metallurgist Day in Donetsk. The artist said that she performed the Ukrainian folk song “The Moon in the Sky” for Zahur, after which he was impressed by her voice.
Kamaliya claims that she only found out about her future husband’s wealth much later.
How Kamaliya speaks about the war
The singer said that after the full-scale invasion began, she did not stop performing, but took part in charity events in Europe and Ukraine.
She also mentioned that during the occupation of Bucha, Russian soldiers shot her two horses. According to Kamaliya, this was a heavy blow for her and led to depression.
Separately, the artist spoke about the damage to the business centre owned by Zakhur. She said the building was damaged by a Russian missile strike.
What Kamaliya said about show business
Kamalia stated that after marrying Zakhur, attitudes towards her in show business changed.
She said she began to be seen as a “cash cow” and was asked to pay for participation in projects or radio airplay. The artist claims that Zakhur refused on principle to pay bribes, which is why she faced professional pressure.
Kamaliya also mentioned the YUNA Awards, co-founded by Mohammad Zahur, and stated that she would not be nominated for them to avoid accusations of a conflict of interest.
