Large-scale power outages in Kyiv region: the most difficult situation in three districts
In the Kyiv region, power engineers have managed to restore electricity supply to hundreds of thousands of consumers, but difficult weather conditions continue to complicate the stabilisation of the situation in the region. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.
According to him, emergency and recovery operations are ongoing around the clock. 187 power brigades are involved in repairing the damage. As of today, about 30,000 families in the region's settlements are still without electricity. The most tense situation is in Obukhov, Fastiv and Bucha districts.
The situation also remains difficult in Boryspil and Brovary districts, where emergency power outages continue to be applied.
As a reminder, as of 9 January, more than 370,000 families in the Kyiv region were without electricity. According to DTEK, the main reasons for the outages were both the consequences of Russian shelling and adverse weather conditions. In particular, about 280,000 households were cut off due to bad weather, and about 90,000 more were cut off due to damage caused by enemy strikes.
