Melania Trump has helped bring home six more Ukrainian children: what Zelenska said
This is stated in a White House statement.
The White House stated that this is the fourth instance in which US First Lady Melania Trump has facilitated the return of children to their families following their separation due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. According to official information, this time the case involves six Ukrainian minors who are currently in Russia.
The statement also notes that another Ukrainian child is due to be returned to their relatives later this month. The White House emphasised that representatives of the US First Lady are continuing to work with both sides to locate and reunite people separated by the war.
Olena Zelenska, commenting on this issue in an interview with Fox News, stated that Melania Trump’s involvement and advocacy are helping to draw attention to the process of returning abducted Ukrainian children. According to Ukraine’s First Lady, such involvement is already yielding results.
The White House also quoted Melania Trump as saying that reuniting children with their loved ones remains one of the most important humanitarian issues. She expressed hope that further cooperation would enable even more Ukrainian children to be returned home.
It should be recalled that US President Donald Trump threatened to halt arms supplies to Ukraine in an attempt to force European countries to join a coalition to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. This is one of the key routes for global oil supplies, which was effectively blocked following US and Israeli strikes on Iran.
