Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have repelled numerous attacks by Russian troops across various sections of the front line. The Pokrovsk sector saw the highest number of assaults.

The 1,490th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Defence forces are holding back the enemy’s advance and inflicting losses on them in terms of personnel and equipment.

Over the past 24 hours, 168 combat engagements were recorded. Russian troops carried out one missile strike using four missiles, as well as 75 air strikes using 255 guided bombs. In addition, 9,027 kamikaze drone strikes and 3,727 shelling incidents were recorded, 86 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems.

Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas around the settlements of Bachivsk in Sumy Oblast, Prosyana, Oleksiyivka, Ivanivka, Pokrovske, and Oleksandrivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivska, Babashi, Danilivka, Zalivne, Hulyaypilsk, Orikhiv, Dolynka, and Omelnyk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck six areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, a drone control centre and an enemy command and observation post.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, 13 clashes took place, with the enemy carrying out 85 shelling attacks. In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, five attacks were recorded near Vovchansk, Vovchanskiy Khutory, Starytsia and Okhrimivka.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked six times; in the Lyman direction, five times; and in the Sloviansk direction, seven times. No offensive actions were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Kostyantynivka sector, 17 attacks took place. In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out ten assaults.

The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian units repelled 34 assaults in the areas of Toretsk, Rodynsk, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Filiya, Udachne, Molodetsk, and in the direction of Novooleksandrivka and Svitlyi.

There were 18 attacks in the Huliaipole sector. No active offensive operations were recorded in the Orikhiv sector. In the Dnipro sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one attack near Bilohrudyi Island.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces suffered 890 casualties. Six tanks, three armoured fighting vehicles, 33 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 1,023 unmanned aerial vehicles and 180 vehicles were also destroyed.
