The National Cashback scheme will not end on 1 July: ‘Diia’ has explained the new deadlines
‘National Cashback’ is a government scheme under which Ukrainians receive a rebate when they buy Ukrainian-made goods.
Following reports that certain stages of the programme had been completed, many Ukrainians became concerned that the funds they had accumulated through the ‘National Cashback’ scheme would disappear as early as 1 July. ‘Diia’ has reassured users that this will not happen, and has explained when the payments will be made and by when they must be used.

This was announced by Ukrzaliznytsia.

Ukrzaliznytsia has reminded customers that funds on ‘National Cashback’ cards must be used by the end of the day on 30 June.

After that, any unspent amounts will be returned to the state budget.

The company notes that small amounts — 1, 3 or 5 UAH — often remain on these cards. Individually, these are insignificant sums, but if many Ukrainians donate them to help others, they can add up to substantial support.

Where can the remaining balances be transferred?

Ukrzaliznytsia has proposed transferring the remaining balances from ‘National Cashback’ cards to support the ‘Iron Family’ project.

This project helps the families of railway workers who have been affected by the war.

Transfers can be made via the project’s official website using Apple Pay or Google Pay.

If a person does not use the funds on their ‘National Cashback’ card by the end of 30 June, they will not remain in the account and will not be carried over to the next period.

Cardholders are therefore advised to check their balance and decide how to use the remaining funds: either spend them on purchases permitted by the programme or donate them to charity.
