In the Pokrovsk sector, the advance of enemy infantry units has slowed, but is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian infantry units have slowed their advance, but attempts to push forward in the Myrnohrad area continue. The “Korsar” battalion of the 38th Marine Brigade has reported that Russian troops are being sent into assaults either individually or in small groups, and that their survival rate remains extremely low.

Oleksiy Godzenko, spokesperson for the “Korsar” battalion of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny, spoke about this on Army TV, according to ArmyInform.

What is happening near Myrnohrad

In the Pokrovsk direction, in the Mirnograd area, Russian troops are continuing their attempts to advance with infantry groups.

According to Oleksiy Godzenko, there have been fewer such attempts in the “Korsar” battalion’s area of responsibility, but enemy movements have not ceased entirely.

At the same time, the Russian army is actively using UAVs – both to strike Ukrainian positions and to lay mines in the area.

According to the spokesperson, Ukrainian marines have observed almost no mechanised assaults.

How Russian units operate

Godzenko noted that the Ukrainian military is carrying out comprehensive operations – ranging from surveillance to the elimination of individual Russian soldiers, enemy groups or equipment.

According to him, the Russian command continues to send infantry on assaults in small groups or individually.

“Comprehensive operations are currently underway. This involves both surveillance and the elimination of individual Russians or groups of them, or their equipment. They are sent on suicide assaults, either individually or in groups. Whether you’re a conscript or not, whether it’s a storm-Z or not, you have to go. The survival rate of the Russians is extremely low,” said a spokesperson for the “Korsar” battalion.

The situation on neighbouring fronts

Earlier, ArmyInform reported that on the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces had repelled five attempts by Russian troops to advance in the areas around the settlements of Kryva Luka, Zakytne and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
