Night-time attack on the night of 24–25 April: air defence forces shot down 30 missiles and 580 drones

During the night of 25 April (starting in the evening of 24 April), the enemy launched a massive combined strike against Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. A total of 666 air attack assets were recorded

The main thrust of the attack was on Dnipro, whilst Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions were also under attack. 

Results of repelling the attack

According to the Air Force, as of 08:00 this morning, air defences had destroyed or neutralised 610 aerial targets:

  • 26 Kh-101 cruise missiles;

  • 4 Kalibr cruise missiles;

  • 580 drones of various types.

In total, the enemy launched 47 missiles and 619 UAVs (Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and others). Around 400 of these were Shahed-type strike drones. The launches were carried out from the Caspian Sea and border regions of the Russian Federation.

Hits and consequences

Unfortunately, it was not possible to avoid all strikes entirely. The impact of 13 missiles and 36 strike drones was recorded at 23 locations. Debris from downed vehicles was also recorded at 9 locations. Details regarding casualties and the extent of the damage are currently being verified.
