During Russia’s large-scale attack on Kyiv on the night of 6 July, the home of Ukrainian actress and TV presenter Olena Kravets was damaged.

This came to light viaan Instagram Story posted by her daughter, Maria Kravets.

According to Maria, the blast wave shattered the windows in her parents’ home. She also reported that a strike had hit near her friend’s house.

Maria Kravets said that the night-time attack had been particularly severe for her neighbourhood. She said the air-raid alert lasted around five hours, and after the explosions the neighbourhood was shrouded in smoke.

“My parents’ windows were blown out, a shell hit the house next to my friend’s, our neighbourhood is completely shrouded in smoke, and there are explosions right overhead that make the whole house shake,” she wrote.

At the same time, Maria noted that her family and loved ones are safe.

Who else reported damage

Following the massive attack on Kyiv, other Ukrainian public figures also reported damage to their homes or neighbouring buildings. In particular, the media reported on the aftermath of shelling near singer Viktor Pavlik’s residential complex and on damage reported by artist Sonya Morozuk.

This refers to the aftermath of the same night-time attack by the Russian Federation on the capital.

What is known about the attack on Kyiv on 6 July

On the night of 6 July, Russia carried out yet another massive attack on Kyiv using missiles and drones. According to Reuters, at least 11 people were killed in the capital, with a further 46 injured. Residential buildings in various parts of the city sustained significant damage.

Following the attack, emergency services were deployed in Kyiv, and search and rescue operations continued at the sites of the damage.
