The actress made this statement in an interview with Masha Yefrosinaya.

Ukrainian actress Olena Kravets commented on the scandal surrounding the financing of the television project "Quiet Evening with Olena Kravets" on the Dom TV channel, in which a sum of over 27 million hryvnia from the state budget was mentioned in the media.

According to Kravets, she did not receive these funds personally and worked on the project only as a presenter.

"I am only the face and host of the programme. I work for a salary, from which I pay taxes, and I am not responsible for the distribution of funds and financing of any projects of the channel," the actress said.

She also emphasised that the amount that appeared in the public domain — 27.5 million hryvnias — related to the costs of producing the TV show, not her personal fee.

At the end of 2023, information appeared that the company Sun Films had received UAH 27.528 million from the state budget to create the talk show "Quiet Evening with Olena Kravets" for the Dom TV channel.

According to the actress, the TV channel received these funds at the beginning of 2023. The initial budget for the project was 32.8 million hryvnia, but it was later reduced due to a decrease in the number of episodes.

This information caused a wide resonance, because during the war, tens of millions of hryvnias from the budget were allocated to create a show for a former colleague and friend of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

After the publicity, Olena Kravets publicly commented on the situation and stated that she had no connection with the distribution of budget funding for the TV channel.

At the same time, she announced that the show "Quiet Evening with Olena Kravets" would be closed in 2024.
