Over the past 24 hours, there have been 240 skirmishes on the front line, with the enemy launching the most intense attacks in the Huliaipole sector
The 1,566th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 240 combat engagements took place on the front line over the past 24 hours.
Russian troops carried out 86 air strikes and dropped 265 guided bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 9,184 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,296 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 38 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Air strikes hit areas around the settlements of Fotovizh, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, Sukhodil, Ulanove, Lisne, Partizanske, Stukalivka and Holyshivske in Sumy Oblast.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck two areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, three drone control points and two artillery positions.
One engagement took place in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. Russian forces carried out four air strikes using nine guided bombs and conducted 94 shelling attacks, 17 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units ten times near Staritsa, Lyman, Vovchanski Khutory, and in the directions of Okhrimivka and Dvorichanskyi.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled one attempt by the enemy to advance towards Hlushevka.
In the Lyman sector, 17 attacks were recorded near Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Dibrova and in the directions of Shyikivka and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out 12 assaults near Zakitne, Riznykivka and in the directions of Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy twice attempted to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the Nikiforivka area and in the direction of Tykhonivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Illinivka and in the direction of Mykolaipil.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 30 assaults near Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka and in the directions of Novyi Donbas, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Bilytske, Dobropillia, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched five attacks in the area of Ternove, Vorone and in the direction of Dobropillia.
The enemy was most active in the Huliaipole sector, where 38 attacks were recorded near Rybne, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne and in the directions of Novoselivka, Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, Huliaipilske and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops launched a single assault on the Defence Forces’ positions in the Stepove area. In the Dnipro sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack in the direction of Antonivka.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups have been detected.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces suffered 1,330 casualties over the past 24 hours. Eight tanks, five armoured fighting vehicles, 85 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, two air defence systems, 12 ground-based robotic systems, 2,161 drones, 363 vehicles and two pieces of specialised equipment.
