Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have carried out hundreds of attacks on Ukrainian Defence Forces positions and populated areas. A total of 267 combat engagements were recorded on the front line.

The 1,556th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 267 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Russian troops launched one missile strike, carried out 86 air strikes and dropped 269 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also deployed 7,881 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,806 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 77 using multiple launch rocket systems.

The areas around the settlements of Mala Slobidka and Nova Sloboda in the Sumy region were subjected to air strikes.

Over the past 24 hours, the Defence Forces’ missile forces and artillery struck one enemy artillery system.

Five clashes took place in the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors. Russian forces carried out seven air strikes, dropped 15 guided bombs and conducted 99 shelling attacks, three of which were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, Ukrainian forces repelled nine assaults near Staritsa, Prylipka, Veterinarne, Shevyakivka and Lyman, as well as in the directions of Izbytske and Ternova.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Defence Forces repelled seven attacks in the areas of Kivsharivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane and Kupiansk.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attempted advances in the directions of Hrekivka, Makiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Lyman, Drobysheve and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk sector, four attacks were recorded near Rai-Oleksandrivka, Zakytne and Riznykivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy launched three attacks in the areas of Tykhonivka and Markove.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops carried out 16 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopil, Berestok, Rusyno Yar and Stepanivka.

The enemy was most active in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 46 assaults in the areas of Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Bilytske, Hryshyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, two attacks were recorded near Sichneve and Zlagoda.

In the Huliaipole sector, 32 clashes took place in the areas of Myrne, Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Hirkyi, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Rybne, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, Verkhnia Tersa and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attempted to advance twice in the area of Shcherbakiv.

In the Dnipro sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one attack in the area of Bilohrudyi Island.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army suffered losses of 960 personnel. Two tanks, 11 armoured fighting vehicles, 28 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, four ground-based robotic systems, 1,750 drones and 324 vehicles were also destroyed.
