Over the past 24 hours, there were 264 combat engagements on the front line, with the heaviest fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk sector
The 1,615th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 264 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past 24 hours.
Russian troops carried out two missile strikes using nine missiles and conducted 96 air strikes, during which they dropped 317 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the occupiers deployed 8,884 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,028 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 50 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck 17 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, a drone control centre and a command and observation post.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy assault. At the same time, Russian troops carried out an air strike using three guided aerial bombs and fired 77 rounds at the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, one of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled eleven attacks near Staritsa and Lyman, as well as in the directions of Izbytske, Volokhivka and Okhrimivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched three attacks in the directions of Kupiansk, Podoliv and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled twenty attacks in the areas of Lyman, Stavky, Dibrova and Ozerny, as well as in the directions of Olgivka, Novyi Mir, Novomykhailivka, Yampil, Shyikivka, Novoselivka and Drobyshove.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops carried out twenty assaults in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakytne and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Piskunivka and Rai Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk front, five attacks were recorded in the directions of Yurkivka, Dibrova, Tykhonivka and Malynivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers carried out eighteen attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Illinivka.
The situation remained most tense on the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian forces repelled 32 attacks. Fighting continued in the areas of Novooleksandrivka and Bilytske, as well as in the directions of Shakove, Toretsk, Novoye Shakove, Novopavlivka, Kuchero-Yar, Vilne, Mirne, Vasylivka, Shevchenko, Novyi Donbas, Pavlivka, Kotlyne, Novohryishyne and Udachne.
No assault operations were recorded in the Oleksandrivka sector over the past 24 hours.
On the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces carried out 15 attacks in the directions of Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvizhivka, Krynychne, Ternuvate, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian units repelled three attacks in the directions of Shcherbakiv and Luk’yanivskyi.
In the Dnipro sector, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations. Furthermore, the General Staff detected no signs of Russian forces forming offensive groups in the Volyn and Polissya sectors.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces suffered 1,590 casualties over the past 24 hours. Eight tanks, 13 armoured fighting vehicles, 37 artillery systems, one air defence system, six missiles, seven ground-based robotic systems, 1,269 unmanned aerial vehicles, 491 vehicles and seven pieces of specialised equipment were destroyed.
