Russia has attacked nine regions of Ukraine over the past 24 hours; there have been fatalities and dozens of people have been injured

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out strikes on the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. The attacks resulted in fatalities, with dozens of civilians injured, and damage to residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, transport and businesses.

Zaporizhzhia Region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 1,107 strikes on 49 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of the shelling of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district, 14 people have been injured, including three children.

The regional authorities received 161 reports of damage to residential buildings, infrastructure and vehicles.

In the Zaporizhzhia district, rescue workers came under a second drone attack whilst extinguishing a fire in an open area of one of the forestry districts. Four State Emergency Service staff members suffered acoustic trauma and minor shrapnel wounds. All received medical treatment.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have attacked four districts of the region more than 30 times, using artillery and drones.

In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Marganetska, Chervonohryhorivska, Tomakivska and Pokrovska came under fire. An agricultural enterprise, a petrol station and a shop were damaged. A 59-year-old man was wounded and will receive outpatient treatment.

Fires broke out in the Pokrovska community in the Synelnykivskyi district and the Verbkivska community in the Pavlohradskyi district.

In the Kam’yanske district, infrastructure was damaged as a result of a strike on the Verkhivtsevska community.

Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has used drones, aircraft and artillery to strike settlements in the region.

Three multi-storey buildings and eight private homes, a cultural centre, private cars, as well as critical and social infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Three people were killed and a further ten were injured as a result of the attacks. Four residents were evacuated from the de-occupied communities.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Russian troops attacked the region’s port infrastructure using Shahed and ‘Gerbera’ strike drones. A civilian vessel was damaged. There were no casualties.

In the Bashtanka district, the Berezneguvatka community was attacked by a ‘Molniya’ drone, whilst in the Mykolaiv district, the Kutsurub and Ochakiv communities were targeted by FPV drones. A transformer was damaged in the village of Dniprovske. No casualties were reported.

Sumy Region

Overnight, Russian guided aerial bombs struck a residential area on the outskirts of Sumy.

Six people were injured, including three children and three adults. One of the injured, a 10-year-old boy, is under medical supervision. The others were treated without being hospitalised.

Private homes have been destroyed and damaged. Emergency services also extinguished a fire following a strike on a civilian infrastructure facility.

In Nedryhailiv, a strike drone hit a civilian infrastructure facility. Three people are reported to have been injured.

Agricultural enterprises in the Stepanivska and Sumsk communities were also hit, where rescue workers extinguished the fires.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have killed four civilians in the region.

Two people were killed in Spasko-Mykhailivka, and one person each was killed in Pryvillia and Druzhkivka. A further 19 residents of the region were injured.

Kharkiv region

Russian troops attacked Kharkiv and 18 settlements in the region, using two missiles, ‘Geran-2’, ‘Lancet’ and ‘Molniya’ drones, FPV drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles.

In Balakliya, a 58-year-old man was killed and eight other people were injured. In Kharkiv, two people were injured and two others suffered acute stress reactions. In Lozova, two men were injured.

Medical staff also provided assistance to two people who had been injured in previous Russian attacks.

Across the region, damage has been caused to residential buildings, petrol stations, garages, cars, a medical facility, shops, an administrative building, warehouses, a postal terminal, power lines, a civilian enterprise and railway infrastructure.
