Record electricity imports: Ukraine purchased 1.26 million MWh

At the end of February 2026, electricity imports amounted to 1.26 million MWh. This is a new record for Ukraine.
Compared to January 2026, import volumes increased by 41%.
Hungary continues to account for the largest share of imports, at 49%. It is from this direction that the largest growth has been recorded: supplies increased by almost 54% compared to January.
Slovakia's share is 18%. Despite political forecasts, electricity imports from Hungary and Slovakia rose to record levels for the month in February.
There were no electricity exports in 2026.
Compared to February 2025, electricity imports increased fivefold. A
