Росія визнала Комітет Ходорковського «терористичною організацією»
This was reported by RTBF.
The Russian Supreme Court has recognised the Russian Anti-War Committee as a "terrorist organisation" and banned its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The court statement said that the organisation had been recognised as terrorist and its activities in the country had been completely banned.
The committee was created abroad after Moscow announced a full-scale offensive in Ukraine on 24 February 2022.
On the eve of the decision, the movement declared "political repression aimed at intimidating society, silencing independent voices and concealing the truth about the war."
The committee includes Garry Kasparov, Andrei Pivovarov and Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
Khodorkovsky was imprisoned in 2003 for ten years. He has lived in London since 2013 and has founded several opposition movements.
In 2023, former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov was declared a "foreign agent" for his activities within the Committee.
