In 2025–2026, the Reconstruction Agency did not enter into any new contracts for the construction of third-level structures designed to protect energy facilities from missiles. However, this does not mean that such defences are not being built in Ukraine at all: work under previously concluded contracts remained unfinished.

Ukraine may begin a gradual increase in gas and electricity tariffs for households as early as 2027. The Russian army has lost a further 1,460 troops over the past 24 hours. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the total losses of Russian personnel have reached around 1,434,690, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian company DEVIRO has unveiled a new ‘Palytsia’ aircraft-type strike drone, which is set to become a more affordable and mass-produced addition to the already well-known ‘Bulava’ strike system.

The Pentagon has announced that the third service member believed to have been killed in the Iranian attack on a US base in Jordan is Sergeant Angel S. Rampersad. The total number of US military personnel killed since the start of the war has risen to 18.
