Russian troops are attempting to bypass Mirnograd from two flanks
In the Mirnograd area of Donetsk Oblast, Russian troops changed tactics after unsuccessful attempts to break through Ukrainian defences directly. Now, the enemy is trying to bypass the positions of the Defence Forces from the northeast and southwest in order to create an operational encirclement. This was reported by the Tavriya Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
According to the military, Russian units are increasingly using quad bikes for manoeuvres in this direction. This type of transport is chosen because of its better cross-country ability and capacity to carry cargo; sometimes four soldiers travel on one quad bike.
At the same time, this equipment has limited manoeuvrability, which, according to the brigade, simplifies the work of Ukrainian strike drone operators.
The Tavriya Brigade continues to carry out combat missions directly in Myrnohrad and on the northern approaches to the city.
