Russian troops struck a shop in Barvinkove, with women and teenagers among the victims

As a result of shelling in the centre of Barvinkove in the Kharkiv region, a large fire broke out in a two-storey shop. According to updated information, at least 13 people were injured.

On 11 February, at around 6:35 p.m., Russian troops struck the town of Barvinkove in the Izium district of the Kharkiv region. A two-storey shop in the central part of the town came under fire. As a result of the strike, the building was damaged and caught fire, with the fire covering an area of more than 1,500 square metres.

Initially, seven people were reported injured as of 9:00 p.m. Later, according to preliminary data, the number of victims in Barvinkove rose to 13. Among them were women aged 63, 62, 57, 48, 44, 34, 33 and 33, as well as a 27-year-old man. After the second strike, multi-storey residential buildings, garages and cars were damaged. Rescuers worked under the threat of new attacks. The work to eliminate the consequences has been completed.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for war crimes. Emergency services and police were working at the scene, documenting the consequences of the attack and providing assistance to the victims.

In total, 15 settlements in the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy strikes over the past day. Three people were killed and 20 others were wounded, including two teenagers aged 14 and 15 in Zolochiv. A 55-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman were killed in Lozova, and five other people were injured. A 63-year-old woman was killed near the village of Brygadyrivka in the Balakliya community.

Russian troops used three missiles, eight guided aerial bombs, nine Geran-2 drones, one Lancet drone, two Molniya drones, five FPV drones, and 15 other drones of an unidentified type.

Residential buildings, a shop, power lines, a bus, a farm, a warehouse, an ambulance and dozens of private properties in the Bohodukhiv, Izium, Kharkiv, Lozova and Chuhuiv districts were damaged.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 84 people in 24 hours. A total of 18,680 people have been registered since it began operating. Over the past day, 124 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defences nine times, and in the Kupianskyi direction, there was one attack, which was repelled by Ukrainian defenders.
