Russia has launched a massive attack on six regions of Ukraine; there are fatalities and dozens of casualties

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched massive strikes on the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Donetsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The attacks have resulted in fatalities, dozens of injuries and significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

Zaporizhzhia Region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupiers have carried out 1,050 strikes on 56 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Seven people were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.

There were also 169 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Since the evening, Russian troops have attacked five districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 30 times using drones, artillery and aerial bombs. One person was injured.

In the Nikopol district, Nikopol, the Pokrovska urban and rural communities, and the Chervonohryhorivska and Mozolevska communities came under attack. Infrastructure, an agricultural firm, private homes, farm buildings, cars and a tractor were damaged.

In the Vasylkiv community of the Synelnykiv district, an air strike caused a fire. One private house was destroyed and a further 12 were damaged. The fire and rescue service building was also damaged.

In the town of Samar, a residential building was damaged.

In the Bozhidarivska community of the Kamyanskyi district, a farm building caught fire. A 60-year-old man was injured. He is currently receiving outpatient treatment.

The Dniprovskyi district was also under shelling.

Kherson Region

In the Kherson region, 12 people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian strikes.

Four high-rise blocks, 10 private houses, a cultural centre, petrol stations, a public building, a mobile phone mast and private cars were damaged.

Eleven people were evacuated from the region’s de-occupied communities.

Donetsk region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed three residents of the Donetsk region.

Two people were killed in Druzhkivka, and another person was killed in Sloviansk.

In addition, one person was wounded in Bilenke, in the Kramatorsk municipal community.

Sumy Region

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out nearly 50 strikes on 23 settlements across 13 territorial communities in the Sumy region.

Nine people were injured as a result of the shelling. Damage to private homes, vehicles and civilian infrastructure was also reported.

In the Bilopil community, a 30-year-old man and women aged 61, 42 and 55 were injured in a rocket strike.

In the Sumy community, a 57-year-old man, women aged 35 and 47, and a 41-year-old man were injured as a result of strikes by guided aerial bombs. Another 41-year-old man was injured in a drone attack.

A 44-year-old man was also injured when an explosive device detonated.

On the evening of 22 June, the Russians launched an attack on Sumy. Strikes were recorded at three locations. At one of them, a trolleybus caught fire.

Emergency services extinguished all the fires.

Kharkiv region

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 16 other settlements in the region came under Russian attack.

A 40-year-old man was killed in the village of Hrushevka, in the Kindrashivka community.

In Kharkiv, a 48-year-old woman was injured.

In Bohodukhiv, women aged 57, 49, 32, 42 and 44, as well as men aged 46 and 38, were injured.

Russian forces attacked the Kyiv, Saltiv and Nemyshlyansk districts of Kharkiv with drones.

They also launched strikes across the Kharkiv region using three missiles, one ‘Lancet’-type drone, nine ‘Molniya’-type drones, 13 FPV drones and 16 drones of a type yet to be identified.

In Kharkiv, two private houses, two cars, power lines and a beauty salon were damaged.
