In several regions of Ukraine, law enforcement officers have detained five people suspected of spreading pro-Russian propaganda. They called for shelling and the seizure of Ukrainian territory.

In the Cherkasy region, the wife of a priest at a church belonging to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) was exposed for praising Putin in messaging app chats and calling for the continuation of air strikes on Ukraine. According to the case file, she shared these messages with acquaintances and parishioners of the religious community.

In the Kirovohrad region, SSU cyber experts detained an unemployed man who, on Telegram channels, called for the seizure of state institutions and the overthrow of the constitutional order.

In Kherson, a hospital medical worker has been charged. On TikTok and Odnoklassniki, he glorified Russian armed formations and supported the temporary occupation of Crimea. Another suspect promoted the idea of annexing Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories to Russia and called for strikes on Ukrainian cities.

In the Vinnytsia region, a man was exposed for sharing communist symbols and Soviet slogans on his Facebook page. According to the investigation, he obtained this content from Russian social media groups.

Linguistic analysis confirmed the suspects’ subversive activities in support of Russia. All suspects have been charged under Articles 109, 436-1 and 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The penalties carry a sentence of up to eight years’ imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The investigative actions were carried out by SSU officers in the Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kherson and Vinnytsia regions under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s offices.
