Seven streets in Kyiv have been closed following shelling: the list
This was announced by Oleksiy Biloshitsky, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department.
Temporary traffic restrictions were introduced in Kyiv following the night-time shelling on 2 June. Traffic was blocked off to clear up the aftermath of the Russian attack.
The Patrol Police urged drivers to take the road closures into account when planning their routes.
Where traffic has been blocked
Traffic is temporarily blocked on the following sections:
Karpatska Sich Street – from the junction with Sumska Street to the junction with Vasyl Zhukovsky Street;
Okhtyrskyi Lane – from the junction with Mykhailo Maksymovych Street to the junction with Kholodnyarska Street;
Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street – from the junction with Nyzhniy Val Street to the junction with Turivska Street;
Verkhovynna Street – from the junction with Sviatoshynska Street to the junction with Anatolii Petrytskyi Street;
Gareth Jones Street – from the junction with Dorogozhytska Street to the junction with Derevlyanska Street;
Degtyarivska Street – from the junction with Starozhytomyrskyi Lane to the junction with Zoologichna Street;
Zoolohichna Street – from the junction with Beresteisky Avenue to the junction with Dehtiarivska Street.
What is known about the attack on Kyiv
Four people were killed and more than 50 injured in the capital as a result of the attack.
Earlier reports from local authorities and emergency services mentioned damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in several districts of the capital.
Traffic restrictions will remain in place until emergency rescue and restoration work is completed.
