Defense forces disable the energy infrastructure of occupied Crimea – Ukraine’s Drone Systems Forces
Ukraine’s Drone Systems Forces carried out targeted strikes on the “Brom” chemical plant and a key electrical substation in Krasnoperekopsk, located in Russian-occupied Crimea. The operation was confirmed by SBS commander Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign “Madyar.”

“We blacked out a number of energy facilities on the occupied territories,” said Robert Brovdi — call sign “Madyar” — the commander of Ukraine’s Special Drone Systems (SBS), describing the latest operation.

As reported by ThePublic.info, citing Brovdi’s social media post published on the evening of November 23, Ukraine’s Drone Systems Forces carried out precision strikes on the “Brom” chemical plant and an electrical substation in Krasnoperekopsk, which he described as one of the key nodes in Crimea’s energy system.

The Russian-controlled administration of the peninsula has not commented on the reported damage. However, on the night of November 22 and into early November 23, residents across several areas of Crimea — including Sevastopol — reported explosions and air defense activity.

Since 2022, the occupied peninsula has been subjected to almost daily drone and missile attacks. In most cases, Russian authorities do not acknowledge hits on military or strategic targets, even when such information can be independently verified.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these strikes are part of a systematic effort to degrade the combat capabilities of Russian occupation forces and pressure Russia to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.

Russia is facing mounting pressure due to the situation on the front line, economic problems and strikes by Ukrainian drones on its territory. European officials suggest that Moscow’s increasingly aggressive rhetoric may be linked to attempts to restart the negotiation process on its own terms.
