The daughter of King Bajarakitiyabha of Thailand has died
This is according to Euronews.
The princess, often referred to in Thailand as Princess Pa, had been in a coma since December 2022 following a sudden deterioration in her health. According to the royal court, she had a mycoplasma infection, which led to serious complications. Despite treatment, Bajrakitiabha’s condition deteriorated due to an uncontrolled infection and the failure of vital organs. She was placed on machines to support her lung and kidney functions.
Thailand has announced the princess’s passing
Princess Bajrakitiabha’s body will lie in state at the Grand Palace in Bangkok. The funeral will be held with the highest honours in accordance with royal traditions. He noted that her work in the fields of justice, equality and helping people will remain an important part of Thailand’s legacy.
What Princess Bajrakitiabha was known for
Bajrakitiyabha studied law at Thammasat University in Thailand and also obtained a Master’s degree and a Doctor of Law from Cornell University in the US.
