The General Staff has updated the figures on Russian military casualties as at 27 July
The total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from 24 February 2022 to 27 July 2026, amount to approximately 1,440,580 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,590 troops.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 12,225 tanks have also been destroyed, eight of them in the last 24 hours; 25,032 armoured combat vehicles, 13 of them in the last 24 hours; and 46,831 artillery systems, 37 of them in the last 24 hours.
The Russian army’s losses also include 1,969 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,519 air defence systems (one of which was lost in the past 24 hours), 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,038 ground-based robotic systems, seven of which were lost in the past 24 hours, and 429,555 operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,269 of which were lost in the past 24 hours.
In addition, 4,950 cruise missiles were destroyed, including six in the past 24 hours, 34 ships or boats, two submarines, 126,302 vehicles and tankers, of which 491 were destroyed in the past 24 hours, as well as 4,472 units of specialised equipment, of which seven were destroyed in the past 24 hours.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the figures are subject to revision.
