Over the past 24 hours, 227 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. The heaviest fighting took place on several fronts simultaneously, notably in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.

The 1,588th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 227 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Over the past day, Russian troops carried out two missile strikes using three missiles, as well as 78 air strikes, during which they dropped 237 guided bombs. In addition, the occupiers deployed 9,618 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,835 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, 35 of which were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Sumy region, the districts of Sumy, Luzhky and Sukhodol were targeted by air strikes. The enemy launched a missile strike on Hlukhiv.

The Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck 11 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, one artillery system, two drone control centres and three logistics depots.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian forces’ positions on six occasions. A total of 77 shelling incidents were also recorded, four of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 15 attacks. Fighting continued near Vovchansk, Synelnykove, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, as well as in the directions of Izbytske, Lyman, Okhrimivka, Shevyakivka and Khatne.

In the Kupiansk sector, one attempted attack towards Kivsharivka was recorded.

In the Lyman sector, the occupiers made 11 attempts to breach the defences in the areas of Drobysheve and Lyman, as well as in the directions of Shyikivka, Novomykhailivka and Novoselivka.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out 23 assault operations near Riznykivka, Zakytne, Kryva Luka and in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka.

No assaults were recorded in the Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka and Prydniprovsk sectors.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 22 attacks near Ivanopil, Kostiantynivka and Mykolaipil, as well as in the directions of Novopavlivka and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks. Fighting continued near Rodynske, Bilytske, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, as well as in the directions of Matyashove, Dobropillia, Kotlyne, Sofiivka, Vilne, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Udachne, Novopavlivka and Bilyakivka.

In the Huliaipil sector, 31 attacks were recorded. The enemy attempted to advance near Verkhnia Tersa, Novoselivka and Huliaipil, as well as in the directions of Podorozhne, Vozdvizhivka, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Kopani, Pryvilne, Rivne, Tsvitkove and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attempts to advance towards Shcherbakiv and Bilohirya.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups have been detected.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces suffered 1,350 casualties. One tank, six armoured fighting vehicles, 71 artillery systems, one air defence system, 13 ground-based robotic systems, 1,952 drones, 492 vehicles and two pieces of specialised equipment were destroyed.
