Over the past 24 hours, 267 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. The Russian army fired four missiles, dropped 254 guided aerial bombs and deployed over 8,600 kamikaze drones.

The 1,553rd day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past 24 hours, 267 combat engagements were recorded on the front line.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to military sources, over the past 24 hours, the Russian army launched four missile strikes using four missiles, carried out 79 air strikes and dropped 254 guided bombs.

Russian forces also deployed 8,684 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,848 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 54 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems.

Areas around the village of Tovstodubove in Sumy Oblast were subjected to air strikes.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck two drone control centres, three troop concentration areas, an artillery system, a logistics depot and another key enemy target.

Three combat engagements were recorded in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. Russian troops carried out 80 attacks, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy launched 11 assaults on Ukrainian military positions near Lyman, Hraniv, Starytsia, Hrafske, Radkivka, Okhrimivka and Kolodyazne.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks in the areas of Kupiansk, Kivsharivka, Novoosynove, Podoly, and Borivska Andriivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 17 attempted advances near Novoselivka, Novomykhailivka, Dibrova, Drobysheve, Stavky, Yampil, Novovodyane and Ozerny.

In the Sloviansk direction, the occupiers attempted to advance five times in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakytne and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack near Minkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops carried out 14 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka and towards Mykolaipil.

The highest number of assaults was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction. There, Ukrainian forces repelled 47 attacks near Shakove, Vilne, Kutuzivka, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Bilytske, Sofiivka, Kuchero-Yar, Zatyishko, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked twice near Verbove.

In the Huliaipole sector, 24 attacks were recorded in the areas of Dobropillia, Novozaporizhzhia, Zlagoda, Rybne, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, Charivne, Rivnopillia, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, Verkhnia Tersa and Vozdvyzhivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops attempted to advance six times near Bilohirya, Novoandriivka and Shcherbakiv.

In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks in the direction of the Antonivsky Bridge.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of offensive groupings were detected.

According to the General Staff, the Russian army lost 1,010 troops over the past 24 hours. The Defence Forces also destroyed one tank, seven armoured fighting vehicles, 64 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, one air defence system, ten ground-based robotic systems, 1,790 drones, 374 vehicles and three pieces of specialist equipment.
