The government plans to change the rules on staff booking
This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram.
The salary threshold may be raised
According to the draft document, for an employee to be retained, their salary must be no less than three times the minimum wage. Currently, a coefficient of 2.5 is applied. A similar requirement will also apply to the average wage of enterprises applying for critical importance status. At the same time, for enterprises operating in areas of active hostilities, potential hostilities or temporarily occupied territories, it is proposed to retain the current 2.5 coefficient.
Requirements for critical enterprises will change
The draft resolution stipulates that if the established limit on reserved employees is exceeded, the head of the enterprise will be obliged to submit an application via the ‘Dія’ portal within ten working days to cancel part of the reservations. Furthermore, exceeding the limit may constitute grounds for losing the status of a critically important enterprise. The document also clarifies the procedure for accounting for employees who have a deferral for other reasons or who work part-time. Certain changes apply to residents of ‘Diya.City’. To be eligible for reservations, they will have to confirm compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the digital economy through their tax returns.
When the changes may come into effect
According to the draft resolution, sectoral and regional criteria for determining critical enterprises must be reviewed by 10 June. An analysis of enterprises’ compliance with the new requirements is planned by 1 July, and a review of previously adopted decisions on granting critical enterprise status is scheduled for 1 September. It is anticipated that the provisions raising the salary threshold to three times the minimum wage will come into force on 1 September 2026. Some of the other provisions may come into effect immediately following the official publication of the resolution. At the time of publication, the government had not officially announced its adoption.
